This post summarizes some of the upcoming product lifecycle milestones for Sophos Firewall and XG Series hardware appliances.
XG Series Hardware Appliances End of Life: March 31, 2025
We’ve sent reminders about the lifecycle milestones for XG Series appliances. These also apply to SG Series appliances running Sophos Firewall OS.
Remaining Lifecycle Milestones

| Final 1-year Renewal | March 31, 2024 | Renew your subscriptions to a date closer to EOL or refresh with XGS hardware. Shorter renewal terms still available. |
| End of Life (EOL) | March 31, 2025 | Plan hardware refresh. Subscriptions must not extend beyond EOL. Check with Sophos rep for promos. |
Last opportunity to order 1-year renewal for XG or SG Series with Sophos Firewall OS. Shorter terms are available. Contact Sophos rep if your current subscription extends beyond EOL.
Last Supported Software Version
Sophos Firewall OS v20 is the last major release that will support XG Series hardware.
Hardware Refresh Promotions
XG Series customers can get up to 99% discount on XGS hardware with 3-year Xstream Protection. SG Series customers have access to SG Migration promo. Contact your local Sophos rep for details.

Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS) v19.0 EOL
Per lifecycle policy, Sophos announced EOL for SFOS v19.0 on April 30, 2024. Includes GA and Maintenance Releases. Customers should plan to upgrade.
