26/11: VNISA organized the “Vietnam
information security day 2008” on 26 Nov at the Melia Hotel, Ha Noi Capita with
topic “Build the safe digital world together”. The event is expected to
strengthen the contact between the State, society and enterprises in this
field.
Experts
will release reports about the panorama of information security, solutions to
protect personal data, and hold talks about hi-tech crime control. These
solutions have high practical for enterprises and organizations. The event was
financed by the vendors/distributors: Cyberoam, INET, FPT, CMC, Misoft, Nokia,
McAfee…
According to BKIS, in 2007, Vietnam
had over 33 million computers infected with viruses and hundreds of websites
hacked, causing a total estimated loss of 2.3 trillion VND (US$140 million).
Some seminars featuring
three topics – information security for business, information security
training, and e-commerce security – will be held.
